Tricia Szirom tszirom@hotmail.com; www.gaiasgarden.com.au I have been on my Goddess Journey for thirty years and am now the custodian and coordinator of Gaia’s Garden, a sacred women’s space in Melbourne. My journey has taken me through traditional religion where the two outstanding women are Mary the Virgin and Mary the Magdelene, both of whom are virtually invisible in protestant churches and who are trivialised and misrepresented in the catholic church. Since the birth of our daughter I have been committed to creating a spiritual community, to nurture and support her and us as parents. This year has been one of blessings and fulfillments, including the opportunity to study with the Sisters of the Burning Branch – a deep and challenging experience. |

Lynne Sinclair-Wood brighid@chariot.net.au - This WORKSHOP is NOW FULL I am an Adelaide artist, writer and teacher following a spiritual path based in Celtic Spirituality. My path has taken me on many trips to Britain, Ireland and parts of Europe, as well as throughout Australia trying to find my place within the pattern of life. With a Fine Arts Degree and teaching Diploma in art, I have taught in schools and adult education since the early 1970s, while also running workshops and classes in Goddess spirituality, Celtic culture and Spirituality and visual arts. After an MA in Women’s Studies from University of Adelaide in 19996, I have been teaching courses in Women’s Education at TAFE colleges in Adelaide. My art work is inspired by my spiritual journey, within the sacred land both here in Australia working with Aboriginal artists and Elders and in the Celtic lands of my ancestors. I exhibit regularly in Australia, UK and Europe. In 1999 I published a book “Creating Form from the Mist: The Wisdom of Women in Celtic Myth and Culture” and have published many articles in journals on Celtic art, Buddhism, parallels in Aboriginal and Celtic art and culture and Druidic teachings. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2001 and believe that after 7 years on a healing journey, I am finally clear of illness. Since 1994, I have taken a number of tours to ancient sacred sites and Celtic mythic sites in Britain and Ireland, eg “Celtic Art & Spirit Tour” in June 2008. I also work with people with disabilities, helping them to find meaningful employment. thea Gaia thea Gaia lives with her feet in ancient times, her head in the rainbow, and her body acting out one of earth’s countless stories. Her conscious “Gaia” life began in the 1980’s with Goddess studies and changing her name to thea Rainbow, then continued with writing Gaia poetry, sharing a “Gaia’s Island” vision with women in America, co-creating “Gaia’s Gallery” in Adelaide, followed by “Gaia Womanspace” in Canberra, changing her name to thea Gaia, working with Gaia Matrix Oracle Cards, forming with others a Women’s Network named Sisters of Gaia in the 1990’s, and acquiring a symbolic statue “Behold, Gaia” in 2007 ! Living out her ancient self in her present place of Australia, thea remembers her journey beginning in rural Queensland, then continuing through teaching deaf children, theological studies, church ministry, discovering and teaching Goddess culture, ritualising, and then simply becoming a woman on the spiritual path of being a female human being, consciously recognising her life as Gaia’s. theagaia@ozemail.com.au |
